Our Beginnings
CIG Financial Services was founded in 1984 to provide basic wealth management services to the local community including financial planning and insurance. Our original location was a very humble, two-room office in south Archbold with one advisor and one staff member.

Since our beginnings in the 1980s, CIG has been driven by a clear vision—to become the leading financial services firm in the tri-state area. Recognizing the demand for comprehensive, institutionally inspired wealth management solutions, we set out to build a firm that delivers excellence across every facet of client service. That vision came to life with the opening of our state-of-the-art office in downtown Archbold. Now a dedicated team of 7 experienced advisors and 9 skilled support staff, CIG has expanded to include a group of like-minded advisors in Fort Wayne, Indiana—professionals who share our commitment to excellence and personalized care. These strategic expansions not only strengthened our ability to serve our existing clients but also introduced us to a growing and dynamic new market in Northeast Indiana. Today, CIG proudly serves over 1,500 households across 23 states, reflecting the trust we’ve earned through years of client-first service. We remain energized by our continued growth and the opportunities ahead to serve more communities across Northwest Ohio and beyond.
